Five minute Nutritious Delicious (ND)

Usually I’m not one for posting recipes….. But I recently have become a lover of kale and am obsessed with kale salads. However, I find purchasing fancy kale salads are quite expensive. Hence, I have a three step no fail salad recipe that any one can do in five minutes.

Basically, it’s kale, nut/fruit mix, and dressing.

1. Wash and dry kale

Kale can come from any place. This lovely picture of kale came from Walmart (mind you, I’d prefer farmers market, but I’ve got a busy schedule), so truly you can find lovely kale any where.

2. Add fruit and nut mix.

Any nut mix. Whatever you like. It can be the travel trail mix you get from the hotel (yes, I have used that once. It’s all about recycling, no waste!)

Optional – add cheese. I had leftover goat Brie so in the salad it went!

3. Make dressing and add in salad.

All dressings have the same basis – oil, acid, sweet and salt. The ingredients I used (see picture) – canola oil, soy sauce, lemon, honey. Simple best dressing.

4. Toss and eat. Share if necessary.

Simple cheap and healthy. And it probably took more time to read this blog post than make the salad! Happy eating everyone!
