I decided to give birth to this blog the same day I was given birth to (Dec 12th). Poetic, yes, but it’s a nice way to initiate a blog. I was inspired to write this blog in the same way I am usually inspired; procrastinating studying for an exam (yes, an exam on my birthday, 2 to be exact!). This blog is extension of me, and to share my ideas and visions with other interested (and perhaps other people procrastinating studying for exams) people. I am an advocate (and student, although soon to be graduated) of naturopathic medicine. Naturopathic medicine is the medicine of getting back to balance, getting back to health, getting back to your true self (almost like a new birthday, yes I’m keeping the theme going if you’ve noticed). Naturopathy is about the whole person, it’s about the interlinking connections between the mind, body and spirit. Being healthy is being happy, and with happiness and positivity comes health in all spectrums (mind, body and spirit). Even though in age I’ve grown a year older, I have been growing unconsciously at a rapid pace thanks to what I’ve learned while studying Naturopathic medicine, and hope to continue growing at that pace (but not in age mind you!). In this blog I’ll discuss what I’ve learned (medicine-wise and life-wise), I’ll talk about how health is interconnected with emotions and thought patterns, and sometimes I’ll just provide cheerful banter about the world around me (I can go off topic at times, or “tangents” as I like to call them). Enjoy the colourful glitter filled ride!
